This post used to be the “About” page on a blog I recently created. Instead of continuing with the new blog, I thought it would be better to combine the contents of that blog with this one. I had originally created the blog entitled Real Food Adventures, when I became aware of several disturbing practices regarding the food we eat.
After learning about the disturbing information, there was no way I could go back to business as usual. Therefore, I created a blog in order to share the information I learned. I also created it to share my journey in transitioning from my old way of eating to a new and more healthful way.
If you want to view the catalyst for my dietary changes, check out the following documentaries:
- Food, Inc.
- Food Matters
- The Future of Food (This is a must view)
- Ingredients
- Forks over Knives
- Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead
You don’t have to run out to purchase all of the movies. The Future of Food is available for free viewing (1 hour and 28 minutes) online. The rest of the movies you can rent from your local video rental store or view them using Netflix or Amazon. You might even be able to rent them from your local library.
Since I didn’t have a Netflix account, in order to watch all of the documentaries I signed up for a 30 day free Netflix trial. You can watch the movies within the first 30 days, cancel and not pay a dime. You will, however, have changed your life.
Just to wet your appetite, here’s a trailer for Food Matters:
