You are here: Home » Laundry Water Usage – Update

After not washing clothes since July 21st , I did 5 loads of laundry yesterday (July 24th). Already I’m up to 9 loads of wash this week (my goodness, will I ever reduce it to 6 loads per week?).

I packed the washing machine to the gills to ensure that I wasn’t being wasteful.  I have to be careful, however, because I ruined my last washing machine by packing it to the gills. The service technician said I put too many clothes per wash load and I ended up with a stress tear in the huge plastic tub. It was ugly and a big mess to clean. Not to mention that I ended up having to purchase another washing machine.

I’m doing my best to reduce my water usage, but I don’t want to conserve to the point where I break my washing machine again.

After washing everything, my laundry should be good for the next couple of days. I’m going to attempt to make it through the entire weekend without doing another wash load. We’ll see how it goes.
