You are here: Home » Make One Blulow New Year’s Resolution

This year when making your New Year’s resolutions, why not make just one for the environment?

I believe there is a trick to making and keeping New Years resolutions. The trick is to think about them before you make them and to make very few. One, two or three resolutions is more than enough to keep you busy for the year.

This year, make one for the environment. Think about it before you claim it. For instance, why not make the resolution to have all of your light sources green before the end of the year.

In January take an inventory of every light bulb in the house. Go from room to room and take thorough notes. Be sure to include the little appliance light bulbs like those that illuminate the refrigerator and the odd little bulbs used in the range hood.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll put it on an Excel spreadsheet in your computer. As each light goes out, replace it with an environmentally friendly light bulb and make a note on your spreadsheet.

If you are consistent, by the end of the year, you’ll have each light bulb in your home converted to an energy saving light bulb and you will be doing your part for the environment.

Now that wasn’t too hard was it? It’s better to accomplish one resolution then to fail at 15 of them.

Have a Happy and Blulow New Year!
