You are here: Home » Thinking Green During the Holiday Season

Think for a moment about the 3rd or 4th hour of your Christmas day. If your day is anything like mine used to be, it consisted of a tree with a bunch of opened toys scattered about and a ton of boxes and wrapping paper to be disposed of.

The kids are happy with their newfound toys (most of them they didn’t deserve because they were rather naughty throughout the year) and you and your spouse are stuck bagging and disposing of the remaining debris. I’m embarrassed to admit that I fell for the Christmas materialistic hype and have indulged my children accordingly.

Now that I’m older and wiser, I take the environment into consideration when making decisions. Here’s a neat article on how to wrap holiday gifts in an environmentally friendly way. It’s not too late to change.
